Cool In Japan is the first single taken from the EP We Never Play Live In Buenos Aires, by Canal Pop featuring Gaby Laguzzi. Written by Emiliano Canal, the man behind Canal Pop, the song is based on the fact that that the CD’s of Plastic Orgasm People, Emiliano’s former band, sold better in Japan than in Argentina, his own country. “I felt for a while that, if everything else failed, I could always tour Japan playing my former bands’ songs, so this story about a guy who’s uncool everywhere else but doesn’t care because he’s cool in Japan just reflected what I felt” Emiliano recalls.

Two versions of the single are being released. Version 01 features three songs: 1) the EP version of “Cool In Japan”, from the Eternal Sunday release We Never Play Live In Buenos Aires. 2) A typical song written by Emiliano Canal as the exclusive B side called “Minimoog”, which is an ironic song about a young girl who discovers that not everything is perfect in love (her boyfriend uses her as an excuse to have access to her brother’s Minimoog, a famous vintage analog synthesizer praised for its exquisite sound). 3) A killer remix of “Cool In Japan” by Demarco Electronic Project, the duo of remixers and producers from Buenos Aires also called the techno twins, because they are identical twins.

Version 02 of the single features five exclusive remixes of the title song.
